I want to write about “call if you need me” that it was written by Raymond Carver. I like this short story so much. Dan and Nancy , the middle aged couple that they are on the verge of separation. They rented their house and sent their son to live with his grandma and earn money for his education

They go on a trip to spend the summer in beautiful house in a remote town to solve their problems and improve their relationship. But finally they decide to separate after spending a dreamy night together. They found that divorce and separation are sometimes the best solutions in the case of a broken relationship

Contrary to the appearance, none of them don´t try to improve their relationship. Although they were in love in the past, as soon as Dan betrayed, Nancy instead of improving their relationship, she started a new relationship with Dan´s colleague! She didn´t try to change somethings as she didn´t like to buy a puppy because of its responsibility and caring. On the other hand when Dan went to hire a new house, he took his lover with himself

I do think many of event are symbolic in this story that I want to refer some of them. For example

Foggy weather was symbol of unknown relationship

The horses that leaved their house and came to back yard freely were symbol of the couple that they wanted to be free and finally they came back to their relationship without any change

Eureka is the name of village that they wante to spend their summer. This word means “Eureka said by the Greek scientist Archimedes when he discovered a method of testing the purity of gold]
used to show how happy you are that you have discovered the answer to a problem, found something”. Eureka where they found their perdonal way

The name of story, call if you need me, has in a kind of  inattention inside
